I am such a baby. When I first read the first few chapters of the fic, I immediately decided to pretend it didn’t exist until you were done. Have I mentioned House has more patience than me? It was so satisfying to read straight through. This story was just great. FYI the chapter 3 links are not working.

When I saw your post last night, I started reading and got sucked in, trying to stay up to read the whole thing. But it was late so I saved the rest for today, and it is fantastic. What an incredible journey you set up for these characters. And as a writer, you are so creative and original, drawing from DIYsheep's aptly named "weird and creepy story." You were so honest in how you wrote House's eventual recovery (I like how they go to Pennsylvania), then relapse, then limbo and then recovery again, and not once did it seem redundant or fake. Just made me impatient, because I just wanted all the Luerssen junk to be done with. Excellent story. Very excellent.

I can't read chapter 3.0, is there something wrong with the link or is it just my computer acting up again because all of the other links work fine.

There does seem to be something wrong with the link, but I can't figure out what. If you cut and paste it into your browser rather than clicking, that works.

There's a colon missing in the link, so it's adding an extra http:// so it looks like "http://http//etc"

This is very creative and a lovely follow up to Sheep's story but what's the reasoning behind the numbering system - I can't figure it out and it's driving me crazy.

All I can say is that it made sense to me at the time. I cannot completely recall the thought process--I think it was that 3.2 didn't seem like quite enough to count as another chapter, so I made it 3.2...and then LJ wouldn't let me put all of chapter 5 up as one post...and it all just went from there. Next time I write a long story, each post is going to be a chapter, and that's that.

Finally a happy House - quick everybody - break out the sharp sticks.

I really found the psychological stuff the most interesting: the idea that House recreates his escape fantasy and the bits and pieces with the toys in Temas's office and how they relate to therapy. And I enjoyed the fact that you never got too sentimental - you really stuck to the tone of the show and made the whole scenario realistic.

It is a great idea: that there is this nutty doctor using people as guinea pigs for his own twisted ends. Luersson almost reminds me a bit of Hannibal Lecter in some respects.

A great ride there Alex and many thanks for the story.

gush gush gush. I just spent the last three? four? hours reading this all the way through and: HATS OFF. WAY TO GO. This story was so great. Loved it. Was gripped. Glued to the chair. Forwent smoke break, bathroom, etc.

Bravo bravo bravo again, and can't wait to read what comes next.

im so glad to see this fic finished! i have nothing constructive to say, just yay story! and you know (it awesome) maybe ill be more consturctive in the morning...

also the problem with the links in chapters 3 & 9 is that they each have an extra space in them after the http:// part of the URL -- get rid of that and they should work.

blessed be

Hi Alex,

I just realised that I never thanked you properly for writing this. It is absolutely amazing and one of the stories I think I'll keep returning to from time to time (as I just have). It is heart breaking in places, funny in others but first and foremost highly thought provoking. Very well done!

I thought I’d combine my gushing with asking if you’d mind if I friended you. It makes keeping track of your stories much easier *g*

Hi! You've left out the : that should be between http: and the two // in the link for chapter 3.2, so that link doesn't work.

Chapters 1 and 2 look very creepy - I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next!
